On October 5, as part of the OASIS project “Supported Community Living in Demir Kapija” in the municipality of Demir Kapija, the partner organizations Humanost association together with KMOP organized a round table on the topic “Effective and innovative social services based in the community”.
The mayor of the Municipality of Demir Kapija Lazar Petrov, the executive director of the association Humanost Sashko Jovanov, and the project managers of KMOP David Rama and Kristina Vasileska addressed the round table.
The event opened a discussion on the current state of social service providers and cooperation with relevant institutions. To this end, the participants of the round table will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation that will allow key stakeholders to improve their cooperation in the development and delivery of supported living services in the community-based social services for persons with intellectual disabilities in the Municipality of Demir Kapija.
The event was attended by representatives of social centers from the Vardar region, social service providers, as well as civic organizations, focused on providing services to people with disabilities.
