We are all the same! – an open event that united the local community in Demir Kapija!
The event was held on October in the center of the Demir Kapija municipality as an open event to inform and raise awareness of the community in order to improve the acceptance and inclusion of persons with disabilities in the local community.
Demir Kapija residents along with children and students from the primary school Dimkata Angelov Gaberot and kindergarten Boris Trajkovski and KUD Mirka Ginova, organized various performances and socialized with people with disabilities who are users in the two small group homes OASIS Sunshine and OASIS Sophie Beaumont.
At the open-air event the youngest gave musical performances, primary school students held an art colony and oratory speech, the youth conducted activities to make friends with the elderly from the help and care service @HumanaS, and a bazaar of handmade products made by the hardworking hands of our users and service users was also held HumanaS. The funds raised from the sale of the products at the event were donated to both apartment units for people with disabilities in Demir Kapija and adults from the HumanaS service.
Our special guests selling homemade goods were the Cerebral Palsy Association of Veles. ️Through actions like this promote the impact, benefits and achievements of community-based social services.
